### What exactly am I buying?

The complete OwnPost application: its source code, private MCP server, the OwnPost plugin with 15 assistant skills, a prompt library and setup documentation. You deploy your own private copy for one owner and connect the services you choose. It is a self-hosted software kit, not a hosted subscription.

### Is it really a one-time payment?

Yes. Pay once for the kit, or for the kit plus personal deployment help. There is no OwnPost subscription. Hosting, your AI provider or assistant plan, and optional X API usage are billed by those providers.

### Do I need technical experience?

The guided deployment helper prepares your configuration and explains each step for your host. You should be comfortable with Git, a terminal and adding private settings in a hosting dashboard. If that is not you, choose the kit plus personal deployment and we will set it up together.

### Which AI can I use?

Write inside OwnPost with your own OpenAI or Anthropic API key, or connect the assistant you already use: ChatGPT, Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another MCP client. Your workspace generates the OwnPost plugin for your assistant, with its skills and connection included.

### Will it write in my style?

Save your voice, topics, example posts and hook patterns in Writing style. Both writing methods use that context, and a built-in editorial check reviews drafts against it. You review every suggested change before it is applied. OwnPost uses saved context; it does not train a model on your writing.

### Can it publish to X for me?

Manual publishing needs no X API: copy the post, publish it on X and record the link. With your own eligible X API access, approve a post or thread and OwnPost publishes it now or at its scheduled time, even while your AI assistant is offline. X bills API usage directly.

### Can I write blogs and newsletters too?

Yes. Write long-form in a continuous editor with images, video previews, sources, checkpoints and history. Prepare separate X Article, Medium, Substack, LinkedIn and website editions, publish each in its own editor, then record the link and results in OwnPost.

### How do reminders work?

Set daily post and blog goals, add routines for anything you want to do regularly, and follow your streak on a year-long activity heatmap. Reminders arrive as push notifications on your Mac, iPhone, iPad or browser, or in a private Telegram chat, with quiet hours and a daily limit.

### Can I manage more than one X account?

Yes. Add account profiles under one owner login. Posts, calendars, results and X connections belong to each account; Ideas, writing style, blogs and routines are shared. Profiles do not add team seats.

### Where can I host it, and what will it cost?

Choose Cloudflare, Vercel, Netlify or a VPS with Docker. We aim for free hosting where your usage and the provider's plan allow it, and a low-cost option otherwise. The deployment guide compares providers; check their current limits and terms.

### Will it grow my X account?

OwnPost supports the work behind growth: a steady rhythm, a recognizable voice and learning from measured results. Followers, impressions and income depend on your content and audience, so we do not promise numbers. Charts on this page are labeled illustrations.

### Can I get a refund?

All sales are final. No refunds once payment is made, except where required by applicable law or the payment provider’s rules. This applies to the kit, deployment help and the bundle, even if you have not downloaded the kit or booked a session. Please read the documentation and purchase policies before buying.
