Write a thread or split a longer note
Keep each post editable and publish the thread in order.
On this page
Before you begin
An open post editor.
Steps
Choose Add another post to turn a post into a thread. Each part needs text and has its own character limit, searchable Emoji picker and media attachments.
Use Move post up or Move post down to reorder parts; media stays with its part. Confirm before removing a populated part.
Choose Turn a longer note into a thread, paste into Original note, then choose Preview suggested parts.
Edit the proposed parts and review their boundaries. Check I reviewed the wording and part boundaries, then choose Add reviewed parts to draft. Parts are appended to existing writing; a completely empty opening is replaced.
Use Preview and wait for Saved to workspace. Your original note stays in this browser. Removing parts until only one remains turns the thread back into one post.
Example request
For a three-part thread, introduce the problem in part one, show your example in part two and finish with a practical next step. Preview the order and attach each image to the part it explains.
Check the result
The saved thread has the intended order, complete text and correct media per part.
Troubleshooting
There are at most 50 parts, using the editor's shared 280-character limit. Overlong or blank proposed parts must be corrected before adding them. If the note needs more space, no text is silently removed; shorten it or start another draft.
